Rokon Ranger, a thick-and-thin friend
Today we will meet with Rokon, an all-wheel drive motorcycle. It was produced in the 50s of the last century in the US by the Rokon Company. This unique bike still retains its popularity among hunters, explorers of nature, soldiers and extreme travelers as well.
In its best times, the Rokon bike was available in three versions: Trail-Breaker, Scout, and Ranger one. The fundamental differences between them are not very much noticeable, they differ only with their configuration. The Trail-Breaker version has a hollow wheel, and the Scout model was equipped by cast wheels. As for the Rokon Ranger, we need to say that being equipped with the wide tyres, low mass, permanent all-wheel drive this bike is able to cope with almost any terrain. The wheels were created for giving the space for additional reserves of water or fuel. Moreover, thanks to such "empty" wheels and wide tires the Rokon Ranger has positive buoyancy on the water.
